Ahsoka’s Latest Trailer Features New Dialogue From Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker

The latest teaser trailer for Disney+’s Ahsoka is an exciting one as it features new dialogue from Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker and teases his obvious importance for the upcoming Star Wars series.

The trailer begins with Ahsoka speaking to Rey Stevenson’s Baylan Skroll, who says, “Everyone in the order knew Anakin Skywalker. Few would live to see what he became.” As he speaks we catch a glimpse of Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker from Episode 5 of Obi-Wan and then of his first seconds as Darth Vader.

Ahsoka then talks about how she walked away from not only him, but also the Jedi Order. We then get some new dialogue from Christensen, which very well may be taken from an episode of Ahsoka that could be a flashback. While we don’t see any new footage of Christensen, the words are just as powerful.

“In this war, you will face more than just droids,” Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker says. “As your master, it is my responsibility to prepare you. I won’t always be there to look out for you. Don’t be afraid. Trust your instincts. I know you can do this, Ahsoka.”

The last time Anakin and Ahsoka met was on Malachor V in Star Wars Rebels, so it will be very interesting to see if that wasn’t actually the last time these two former friends saw each other. Reports and merchandise have stated that Anakin will appear in Ahsoka, but it also very well may just be a flashback to their happier days.

We won’t have too long to find out as Ahsoka’s two-episode premiere will be released on Disney+ on August 23.
