Anker PowerCore Slim 10,000mAh Power Bank

The Anker PowerCore Slim 313 is one of the slimmest 10,000mAh power banks around. It’s almost the exact same dimensions as an iPhone 14 (only 0.2″ thicker). There are three types of connections, but it’s important to understand which is input and which is output. USB Type-C and Micro USB are INPUT only, which means that you use either of these ports to charge the power bank itself. USB Type-A is OUTPUT only, which means this is the port that you use to charge your other devices. It’s capable of delivering up to 12W of charge using Anker’s PowerIQ and VoltageBoost technologies.

Big Ass Fans Haiku L 52″ Smart Ceiling Fan for $426

Big Ass Fans Haiku L 52" Smart Ceiling Fan with LED Light

Big Ass Fans Haiku L 52″ Smart Ceiling Fan with LED Light

This is the best price for a Haiku L fan in years. “Big Ass” fans are considered quality fans… a step above the more mainstream options like Hunter or Minka-Aire. They’re optimally balanced and are very quiet for ceiling fans (partly because of their design, but also partly because they’re so big). They’re usually huge, but the Haiku L is one of their smaller models at “only” 52 inches in wingspan. It also has an integrated dimmable 2700K LED light (65W equivalent). The Haiku L includes an IR remote, but it’s also a smart fan. That means you can use your smartphone to control the fan and light.

SteelSeries New Arctis Nova 3 Multi-Platform Gaming Headset

The SteelSeries Actis Nova 3 is 40% off today on Amazon. Wired gaming headsets have a number of advantages over wireless. They’re less expensive, they’re lighter because there’s no battery, and they work for pretty much any system that accepts a USB Type-C or 3.5mm input. That means you can use these headphones for the Xbox Series X and the PS5, Nintendo Switch, and your PC. The Novas are SteelSeries’ latest lineup of Arctis gaming headsets.

Silicon Power 2TB PS5 SSD with Heatsink for $85.97

Silicon Power XS70 2TB PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 SSD (up to 7300MBps) with Heatsink

Silicon Power XS70 2TB PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 SSD (up to 7300MBps) with Heatsink

The Silicon Power XS70 SSD with a preinstalled robust aluminum heatsink costs well under $100. The aluminum heatsink is still slim enough to fit in the PS5 without obstruction. It boasts transfer speeds of up to 7300MB/s read and 6800MB/s write, comfortably faster than the 5500MB/s minimum recommended requirement. It actually performs a little better than the Crucial P5 Plus, the original WD Black SN850, and the Samsung 980 Pro, although that won’t make a difference in your PS5.

You must upgrade to the “i7 + RTX 4080 combo” and “2560×1440 display” to get the config listed above. This laptop has been upgraded with a very powerful GeForce RTX 4080 GPU. The RTX 4080 mobile GPU performs about 20%-35% faster than the RTX 3080 Ti mobile. Compared to desktop variants, the mobile RTX 4080 approaches a performance level similar to the desktop RTX 3070 Ti. It’s definitely more than enough power to run most games on the display’s native 1440p resolution, even at maximum settings. In fact, even ray tracing is finally an option for laptop gamers with this GPU or the 4090.

You must upgrade to the “i7 + RTX 4090 combo” and “2560×1440 display” to get the config listed above. The RTX 4090 makes hardcore gaming on a laptop possible. The RTX 4090 is the most powerful mobile GPU ever, and by a huge margin. The HP OMEN 17 supplies up to 175W to the GPU. That means this is probably the fully enabled RTX 4090 GPU with a 150W TGP, not the gimped 80W version. It’s roughly equivalent to a desktop RTX 3090 GPU. Your gaming laptop will be a better gaming rig than most gaming desktops out there.

The GeForce RTX 4070 matches the performance of the older RTX 3080 but with a few new features exclusive to RTX 40 series GPUs. That means the RTX 4070 can still easily hold its own in any game at 1080p, 1440p, and even 4K. This would be my GPU of choice for comfortable 1440p gaming. Because it’s a current gen 40 series card, the RTX 4070 also supports DLSS 3.0, which is DLSS 2.0 plus frame generation. Games that support DLSS 3.0 (like Diablo 4) benefit with noticeably higher fps.

The RTX 4070 Ti performs better than the RTX 3090 and way better than the RTX 3080. Compared to AMD’s best card, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, it only performs slighly worse without ray tracing, but it performs better with ray tracing enabled. It also supports DLSS 3.0 (DLSS 2.0 + frame generation), something both the AMD cards and GeForce RTX 30 series lack, and that increases the performance gap for games that support it. It’s still a solid card for 4K gaming and significantly cheaper than the RTX 4080 or 4090.
