Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis Launches in September

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis will launch on iOS and Android on September 7.

Pre-registration is available now and Square Enix is offering bonuses to players who sign up, several of which have already been achieved. The most recent saw one million pre-registrations, which means players will receive five weapon draw gacha tickets when the game releases.

The last two milestones listed are 1.2 million and 1.5 million pre-registrations, and If those are met, players will receive 3,000 blue crystals, 30 draw tickets, and a Jumpstart item sets well as one gear ticket.

Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis incorporates events from Final Fantasy 7 spin-offs and stories such as Advent Children, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus. It also has a mix of styles including a modernized polygon look reminiscent of the original game on PlayStation. High-quality graphics, like those seen in Final Fantasy VII Remake, are seen during battles.

Square Enix is currently working on the second instalment of the Final Fantasy 7: Remake saga, titled Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which is set to launch in early 2024.

In IGN’s Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis preview we said: “If a high-quality and high-budget gacha mobile game is what you’re looking for, then I think you will enjoy your time with it. I had fun myself despite the significant interface issues. However, if you were hoping that Ever Crisis would be the game to help give you a quicker overview of the Final Fantasy VII series I suggest looking elsewhere.”
