GeForce Now Announces Its First Batch of PC Game Pass Releases, Coming on Aug. 24

Nvidia announced that select PC games from the PC Game Pass library will be available on its cloud gaming service GeForce Now beginning Aug. 24.

As part of its Gamescom 2023 reveal, Nvidia confirmed the first batch of Xbox PC Game Pass titles that are coming to GeForce Now, including Arkane Studios’ Deathloop and Obsidian Entertainment’s Grounded. Certain games available on PC Game Pass made from third-party developers, such as No Man’s Sky, will also be playable.

Microsoft announced in June that it was bringing some of the games in its vast PC Game Pass library onto GeForce Now, but we didn’t previously know which games would be immediately available. There was some initial confusion, however, based on Xbox’s Sarah Bond’s original comments, with some thinking that Game Pass’ entire library would be playable via GeForce now. Xbox later clarified that only “select” games would be available.

The games will be playable for GeForce Now members also subscribed to either PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

The partnership is different from another partnership struck between the two, which had first-party games from Xbox Game Studios like Gears 5 available on GeForce Now, but this partnership requires those actually to own a PC version of the game.
