Parks and Rec’s Adam Scott Is Now Canonically a Star Wars Stormtrooper

Parks and Recreation and Severance star Adam Scott is now canonically a Star Wars Stormtrooper after playing the role in an audio book rendition of a Return of the Jedi anthology.

Entertainment Weekly shared an exclusive audio excerpt of From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi, a short story collection releasing August 29, that features Scott.

The role would be a fantasy for his Parks and Rec character Ben Wyatt (despite him opting for a Batman costume over something from the galaxy far, far away) as he plays Stormtrooper TK-423 in the Trooper Trouble short story by Laura Pohl.

Scott, or TK-423, is a tired and grumpy Stormtrooper. The short story takes the form of audio logs from his own perspective, which open with him complaining about the lack of caf (Star Wars coffee) while working on the second Death Star.

“There is still no caf in the cafeteria,” the story reads. “One would think this elementary since it is impossible to spell one without the other.

“When I mentioned that this may be due to lack of planning on the part of the Empire to the unkind worker behind the counter, TK-293 told me to shut up because we will get into trouble, and troopers who get into trouble get sent through the air lock, which explains the lack of perĀsonnel the officers are constantly complaining about.”

From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi features 40 short stories in total to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the once final Star Wars film.

The infamous but equally popular diner owner from Star Wars: Episode 2 – Attack of the Clones, Dexter Jettster, is also getting his own short story. Another of particular interest could explain how Kylo-Ren obtained the melted Darth Vader helmet.
